Wellington Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1947. Wellington is affiliated to Taunton Chamber of Commerce and Somerset Chamber of Commerce. The chamber has representatives at the Taunton Deane Economic Partnership and Wellington Economic Partnership.
The Chamber is there to link together business, to maximise potential from town events, give members a chance to participate as a business community, keep all member businesses informed of local business schemes and to provide a voice for traders to speak to the local councils on issues that affect us. This enables us, as a business community, to work together for our own good and for the good of our town.
We hold monthly executive committee meetings to which all members are invited to attend and contribute if they so wish. We each have a common goal, to achieve better and more profitable businesses and by working together we can achieve this. This will ensure that we can all take part and not miss out of business opportunities.
The Wellington Experience
The Wellington Chamber of Trade and Commerce has created a vision on how we want to see the town promoted.
We don't just want visitors to come to Wellington to see one business or attraction. When they are here we want them to enjoy the whole Wellington experience - browse the shops, perhaps visit the cinema, take a look in the museum and then take a walk in the park.
